Fun and Spooky (Sometimes) Comes to the Museum in October!
A new experience is coming to Boston Children’s Museum! Are you brave enough to enter the Boo-tanical Garden and encounter strange and unusual plants? This spooky experience will feature two different options, a lights on, hands-on experience perfect for littles and a spooky experience for kids and families who want a spookier encounter with these wild and wacky plants. This is an add-on experience and tickets are required to enter the Boo-tanical Garden. Discounted tickets are available with Museum Admission. Do not miss your chance to experience the Boo-tanical Garden, this experience is only available from October 20 to October 31.
Lights on Experience for Littles will occur Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Admission for this experience is $2 per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance online. Tickets are for a specific timed session, visitors will be able to enter the Boo-tanical Garden at any time during their designated timed session. This experience will take anywhere from 8-10 minutes.
The Spooky experience for those who want a little fright will occur Saturday and Sunday. Admission for this experience is $7 per person with Museum Admission, recommended for ages 4+. Tickets must be purchased in advance online. Tickets are for a specific timed session, and visitors will be able to enter the Boo-tanical Garden at any time during their designated timed session. This experience will take anywhere from 10-12 minutes per group. Tickets for the Boo-tanical Garden go on sale October 8th. Halloween Spooktacular!Friday October 29, 6:00-9:00 PM
The Museum is celebrating Halloween in a fun and safe way for all ghouls and goblins. Friday October 29, from 6:00PM-9:00PM, join us for an after hours experience where the fun and wonder of the Boston Children’s Museum meets trick-or-treating and spooky fun for all! Tickets are required for this Halloween after hours session. Tickets include:
- Access to the Museum
- A Scare Package for every child
- 13 Spooky activities and programs to explore
- Access to the Boo-tanical Garden haunted experience
- DJ and Dancing
- And more!
*trick-or-treating will be throughout the Museum for all children. There will be limited allergy friendly alternatives to some of the candy options as well. The Lunchroom will be open during the event for kids who cannot wait to eat their candy. Please remember masks are required for all visitors over the age of two.
Tickets are required and go on sale for members October 8th, and for non-members October 13th. Tickets are $30 per person. Each child ticket includes a “Scare Package” filled with treats, activities, and a trick-or-treating bag. Tickets can be purchased at this link. Costume masks do not replace face masks. Face masks must be worn at all times while in the museum for all visitors over the age of two (2).
