About Project STEP
Founded in 1982, Project STEP (String Training Education Program) champions equitable access to comprehensive music education for students from racial and ethnic backgrounds underrepresented in Western classical music. The program offers youth in Greater Boston long-term and early access to music instruction, orchestra and ensemble participation, workshops, mentorship, masterclasses, an instrument, summer music camps, and more.
