Join us for Artbarn’s Out of the Box Productions show that will be touring this fall with their latest piece called EXPRESS YOURSELF: A Tale of Kid Empowerment in a Grown-up World.
This show explores social activism and the power that young people have to fight for the things that are important to them. When the art program is cut from the school curriculum, a group of students’ band together to try to save their favorite class. Through petitioning, picketing, fundraising, and a “town-council” style meeting, they discover what works, what doesn’t, and that expressing yourself in just the right way can, and does, make a difference.
