Seeta Pai is the Executive Director of Education at WGBH (Boston’s PBS) where she oversees their work across both in-school and out-of-school educational contexts. Previously, she was Vice President of Research at Common Sense Media, where she led their independent research program, directing several national studies on kids’ and teens’ media use. Seeta also steered their impact evaluation efforts, co-developed organizational strategy, and was a key architect of their digital media and learning initiatives for young people, families, and educators in the U.S. In addition, she was responsible for guiding their activities focused on underserved families. In a prior role, she directed educational content, research, and community/family engagement for several Sesame Workshop international projects focused on child development, health, and girls’ education. Seeta has also held research positions at UC Berkeley and elsewhere, studying various aspects of education and child/youth development. She brings a strong research emphasis and attention to cultural sensitivity and diversity in her work. Seeta holds a doctorate in Human Development from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, and is a mom to two elementary-school-aged-children.
