Experience the magic of live theater for Out of the Box Production’s performance of The Popularity Pandemic, which tells the story of a group of friends who suddenly catch a “popularity bug.” Soon, everyone is worried about being cool and fitting in, and they start to forget what really matters: kindness, friendship, and being themselves. One brave student must find a way to stop the “pandemic” before it takes over the whole school!
Come laugh, think, and cheer along as we explore what it really means to be yourself at KidStage!
Out of the Box Productions is an audition-based, touring performance troupe that brings theater-for-social-change into the Brookline Public Schools and the surrounding community. A staple of the Brookline Public School calendar, Out of the Box has been touring annually since 2004. Each year, two casts of 4th – 6th-grade actors travel an original show to all eight Brookline elementary schools, reaching nearly every K–6 student in Brookline.
