Program details

Enjoy a special concert with talented musicians from Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Petite Ensemble.

Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (BYSO) is one of the most prestigious, comprehensive, and remarkable youth orchestras in the nation. Each year, BYSO serves over 500 children, ages 4 through 18, from Greater Boston and throughout New England. The students receive a transformative, classical music education that changes their lives. Their path forward is a pursuit of excellence rooted in self-confidence, courage and leadership.

Petit Ensemble, BYSO’s youngest ensemble and conducted by Marta Zurad, is a string orchestra for players generally under the age of 10. Petit Ensemble members have successfully completed at least Suzuki Book Two (violin, viola, cello, and bass). The rich repertoire introduces students to a variety of musical styles.
