Meet Urasenke Boston, the Japanese tea ceremony group of Greater Boston! Learn about Chado (茶道), the Japanese tea ceremony, and experience the concept of Ichigo Ichie (一期一会) – embrace the present moment, cherish the gathering, and appreciate each other.

Chado, the Japanese tea ceremony, is a cultural tradition designed to promote harmony and mindfulness through the practice of preparing, serving, and enjoying tea in a ceremonial way. The history of Chado dates back to the 9th century and its origin is deeply connected with Zen Buddhism.

Notes about this workshop…

– It is recommended for 5 years old and above.
– A 40-minute program featuring demonstrations and dialogue.
– No food or drink is provided during this program.
