Program details

Meet Kintsugi artist Tatsuya “Tad” Murao of Kintsugi Boston and learn about the beauty of Japanese Kintsugi art!

Celebrate Mother’s Day by making something unique out of broken ceramics, sea glasses, and mosaic tiles, inspired by Kintsugi. Kintsugi is a Japanese art of repairing and restoring broken pottery items. Rather than making broken parts look brand-new, Kintsugi sees repaired parts as beautiful and celebrates flaws as something unique to be embraced.

Enjoy the creative process, and then learn to see beauty in broken items.

This workshop is for visitors ages 6+ and their grown-ups. · Very limited seating is available on a first come, first served basis -please sign up in front of the Art Lab.

This program is offered in collaboration with the Japan Society of Boston (JSB) and supported by the Pucker family.
