Boston Children’s Museum Opens Annual Snowmazing Celebration

Sock Skating, Snowdays, Jack Frost, and Special Event Highlight December at the Museum

Boston Children’s Museum will launch its annual Snowmazing celebration December 4, with a ribbon cutting event at 2:00pm featuring Olympic medalist figure skater, Mirai Nagasu, who will sock skate, meet and greet, and take photos with Museum visitors. The Museum has been transformed into a winter wonderland for families to discover all the joy and fun of the season. Festive scenes and sparkling winter-themed programs will be happening all season.

Boston Children’s Museum is getting ready for winter with the help of Jack Frost and Friends. So much fun and wonder await you this winter season. Take a fun photo in our new winter sleigh, say hello to Boston’s largest Snowman, sock skate with Jack Frost and friends, and so much more! New this year, don’t miss out on our Snowdays, fun filled days throughout the month of December with winter themed programs and new wonders to enjoy and discover! Snowdays at Boston Children’s Museum
Sunday, December 4 – 1:30pm session
Snowmazing Opening with Mirai Nagasu – 2:00pm Snowmazing!

Saturday, December 17 – 9:00am session
Winter Wonders Critter Day program – Ever wonder what animals do in the winter? Join us as we explore the many ways that animals survive in and thrive in the winter. What you find out will shock and amaze you!

Saturday, December 17 – 1:30pm session (Special Ticketed Event)
Cocoa with Characters – 2:00pm
Meet and greet with Ice Sisters, cocoa and other warm beverages, snacks, a fun frozen activity for kids, and access to the Museum.

Sunday, December 18 – 9:00am session

Cocoa with Characters – 10:00am
Meet and greet with Ice Sisters, cocoa and other warm beverages, snacks, a fun frozen activity for kids, and access to the Museum.

Tuesday, December 27 – 1:30pm session
Ice Sculpture Carving – 1:30-3:30pm – Watch and learn how ice sculptors take blocks of ice and turn them into beautiful sculptures.
Ice Play programming – 2:30pm

The Museum will offer a full calendar of activities throughout the winter months that will incorporate hands-on making, creating, exploring, and playing. Science, art, music, and special family events together with fun-filled exhibits, will make a visit to the Museum memorable. The Museum is open Wednesdays through Sundays in two time slots 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:30-4:30pm. Admission is only by advance registration and ticketing. All visitors, including members, are required to reserve an advance ticket online at https://bostonchildrensmuseum.org/ticketing

Hours and Admission
The Museum is open Monday – Sunday from July 4 through September 5 with two set daily time slots, 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:30-4:30pm. To reduce touchpoints and enable timed visits, all ticketing will be done online. Members must also make reservations online. There are a limited number of visitor reservations available for each time slot. Adults, $20, children (1-15) and senior citizens, $20; children under 12 months and Museum members are always free.
