You, Me, We!: The Exhibit

You, Me, We is a shared exhibition experience for families to connect around questions of identity and bias in the world around us. Through interactive experiences, self-reflection, and guided dialog, this exhibition addresses an urgent need in our society to disrupt hate, build empathy, and explore ways to strengthen our communities together.

A room that lives

A Room That Lives invites visitors to explore their individual and shared cultural, racial, and religious identities, and build positive connections. Record a friendly front door welcome, create and show-off your own self-portrait, and build a family that looks like your own. Read some stories shared by visitors, and consider sharing a story of your own!

grab a plate mural

Grab a Plate celebrates the many ways that culture is expressed through food, and how caring, sharing, and belonging creates a community of growth grounded in love, kindness, and respect. Tend your community garden, trace food journeys to the kitchen, and prepare a dish for the potluck party.

Beyond the surface

Beyond the Surface reveals how different beliefs, faith systems, values, and worldviews are embedded in visitors’ lived experiences, and the importance of communication to increase understanding and empathy. Practice listening and sharing, slow down to find inspiration, and let your beliefs take flight.

Break dancer

Come Together hosts a block party to celebrate the many unique and wonderful ways of being. Record a story that shares a bit about you, turn up the music, and dance, dance, dance.

Kindness crew exhibit

Kindness Crew asks visitors to reflect on how we treat one another and the different ways in which we express and receive love. Build a “flavors of love” sundae, practice being kind, and explore stories of children doing inspirational work in their Boston neighborhoods.

Share some love exhibit

Share Some Love challenges visitors to work together to confront some of today’s biggest issues and take action to build fairer and stronger communities. Tell us what you love about where you live, co-design a neighborhood community, and use your voice and your vote to support a cause you believe in.
