Artbarn: Out of the Box Productions presents: True To You: A Story About Honesty

Experience the magic of live theater in KidStage with Out of the Box Productions’ True to You, a 35–40 minute original musical performed by 10 elementary school-aged actors. When a cheating scandal threatens the success of a community service club, the characters must decide what it means to be honest, loyal, and true to themselves. As they wrestle with whether to tell the truth or keep a secret, True to You invites young children to think about how we make difficult choices, and what it means to do the right thing.

About Out of the Box Productions
Open to actors entering 4th–6th-grade, Out of the Box Productions is an audition-based, touring performance troupe that brings theater-for-social-change into the Brookline Public Schools and the surrounding community. A staple of the Brookline Public School calendar, Out of the Box has been touring annually since 2004 and we have been honored to perform at Boston Children’s Museum since 2015. Recent productions include The Popularity Pandemic (2025), Express Yourself (2024), Follow The Leader (2023), and Tech Message (2022).
